Any incoming freshman going to college will most likely be required to live in a dormitory. Dormitories are living accommodations that are usually seen inside a campus. After a year of stay, you will be given the freedom to choose whether you’d still want to stay on-campus or if you want to move out elsewhere.

If you have plans on moving out after your first year, then you should save up as much money as you can right now. On your first year, since you will be living in a dormitory you can expect to be able to spend less because almost all of your needs will be included in part of your tuition. However there might be some things that may tempt you with spending money like partying or some other hobby that you have.

It is often advised that you take everything in moderation to ensure that you will still have money when the time comes. Most of the time some people fail to do this in which they have essentially no choice but to stay in dorms for the rest of their college life.

But if you are thrifty enough during your stay in the dormitories, when you leave for one of the off campus housing byu units then you will have no problem dealing with paying for your bills. One thing is for sure if you save a lot now, there is a good chance you will have more spending money on the days ahead.

Avoiding expensive hobbies that may even become a vice would not do you any favors especially if you are in college. Instead why not look for a job if you are seriously running short on cash? There are a lot of places near your off campus housing byu dwelling that can hire student workers such as you if ever you really need more money to fund yourself.

Sometimes it is tempting for you to just reach out and spend your money if you have cash on hand. One good way of avoiding that would be opening a bank account and putting your money in there. This way you will be able to continue living in an off campus housing byu unit without having financial worries.
